Doctors finally being protected
May 12, 2019

Medical professionals who are being forced out of their professions simply because they don’t want to perform abortions finally have a reprieve thanks to a new rule by the Health and Human Services (HHS) department and President Trump.

This critical new rule protects individuals and healthcare entities and respects religious freedom of all Americans. Read the Press Release.

“Finally, laws prohibiting government funded discrimination against conscience and religious freedom will be enforced like every other civil rights law,” said OCR Director Roger Severino. “This rule ensures that healthcare entities and professionals won’t be bullied out of the healthcare field because they decline to participate in actions that violate their conscience, including the taking of human life. Protecting conscience and religious freedom not only fosters greater diversity in healthcare, it’s the law,” Severino concluded.

Members of the Congressional Prayer Caucus and the American Prayer Caucus Network are working to establish similar protections in Congress and in states across the nation. Religious freedom and conscience rights are fundamental principles that protect everyone. Take a moment to thank the President for this new rule.
