Cake Artist Files Opening Brief At Supreme Court
“ADF attorneys filed the opening brief for Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission at the U.S. Supreme Court. The brief, which you can read here, argues that the government cannot coerce Jack Phillips to create custom artistic expression that violates his conscience.”
North Korea: Citizens Beaten Or Killed For Religious Beliefs
“A newly-released State Department report describes a gruesome picture of human rights abuses in North Korea, including citizens being “arrested, beaten, tortured or killed because of their religious beliefs.”

Continue praying consistently and fervently for the successful passage of legislation that effectively protects our Judeo-Christian heritage and religious liberty. Also, pray that bills and resolutions that undermine our First Amendment Rights will be unsuccessful.
District Of Columbia: Woman Fired For Observing Passover
“An Orthodox Jewish woman who was fired from her job at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority for observing Passover is asking the nation’s highest court to hear her case. Last month, in Abeles v. Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority, Susan Abeles appealed to the Supreme Court to hold her former employer accountable for unjustly firing her from her job of 26 years for observing the first two and last two days of Passover. A ruling from the high court could protect the right of all religious federal employees to live their faith without fear of losing their jobs.”

“After first being told by a court they could pray based on their faith – and then being told they couldn’t – commissioners in Rowan County, North Carolina, are considering whether to take their case to the Supreme Court…Rowan County commissioners have 90 days in which to decide whether to appeal the case to the U.S. Supreme Court. The case is Lund v. Rowan County.” Contact the Commissioners to let them know you stand with their right to pray in a public setting, and encourage them to appeal the case to the United States Supreme Court.”
OK: FFRF Has Bible Verse Removed From School
From FFRF site: “A bible verse showily exhibited at an Oklahoma public school has been taken down after the Freedom From Religion Foundation brought attention to it. A concerned local resident informed FFRF that a bible verse was on display above the front desk at Comanche Elementary School in Comanche, Okla. It read: ‘Welcome, The Lord bless you and keep you. Num. 6:24.'” CPCF is planning to take action.
VA: FFRF Asks Elementary School To Remove A Plaque Imprinted With A Prayer
From FFRF site: “A local member of the district had reported to FFRF that Spiller Elementary in Wytheville, Va., was displaying a large plaque in its cafeteria with a loud and clear religious message: ‘OUR FATHER: WE THANK THEE FOR THIS FOOD. BLESS IT TO THE NOURISHMENT OF OUR BODIES AND OUR LIVES TO THY SERVICE. AMEN.'” CPCF is planning to take action.
