Victory! Just hours ago, the United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of allowing a 93-year-old War Memorial in the shape of a cross to remain on public land.
The Court’s decision effectively overturned the decision from the 4th Circuit which required the Cross to be taken down.
Nearly one hundred Members of Congress, including Members of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, joined an amicus brief in support of allowing the Memorial to stand. More details from the Congressional Prayer Caucus here.
Also, CPCF joined an important amicus brief that reinforced that our Constitution encourages the Freedom of Religion and forbids hostility towards it.
We applaud First Liberty Institute for their excellent work, and the Supreme Court for making the right decision.
